I've got a question for posters who have taken Chantix; feel free to PM me if you'd prefer.
Is there anyone here who has taken Chantix who has a pre-existing psych dx?

I'm about a pack and half day smoker and have thought about quitting. My insurance won't cover it, but if it really works, I might be willing to give it a shot.

I have severe PTSD and major depression, severe recurring and am concerned about the side effects that have been reported re: suicidal ideations, nightmares, etc....
I've heard/read that these type side effects seem to have a more likely chance of affecting those with pre-existing pysch conditions.

Anybody got experience they could tell me about?
