Wish I coulda seen that

I smoke but I plan on quitting this summer. I知 going to make sure it is the one and only time I quit. I知 really going to get prepared for it before I do so. Lucky for me I don稚 smoke too much as is and for at least 2 years of my smoking habits I had enough self control to only allow myself 2 cigarettes a day. Hopefully It will be easier for me than most other people.

It depends on a lot of things.

MOST of my addiction to it is the fact that I've ALWAYS done it outside. So, I take a "smoke break" and usually have a few minutes to myself. I started it as a teenager and had to sneak to do it so there's the "I'm getting away with something" aspect of it LOL

Just need to replace routines and habits a little. I don't want to quite again either. I know it can be done. Just gotta do it.

So what's worse in this case, littering or vandalism?
The son of a bitch should have been arrested for that stunt.

It is probably sad in your case, but funny in mine. I guess. I guess I can relate more to Boortz in this case because I only smoke when I'm hammered and I know that if someone dumped their cig. butts on my property I would feel the same way. I guess if everyone could think about the other perspective there would be no quarrels. LSS, (Long story short) (oh yeah, I just came up with a short hand) I can see where your coming from, but it is still funny.

It IS. It actually sounds like a scene out of a movie. A comedy of course LOL

I agree, it IS funny, in a poetic justice, candid camera kind of way.

I should have been clearer, I guess. While it is vandalism, IMO, I don't have a lot of sympathy for the "victim" because I think people who dump their ashtrays out the window are friggin slobs.

Now, if it wasn't HER car...

just wanted to add my story here:
I took chantix a couple of months ago and although the reviews were pretty mixed it seems to have worked for me
I really hope I won't smoke again

Coincedentally, I began taking this medication around the time of this post, last June. I quit on the 15th of that month and have had little trouble staying 100% cigarette free. It took me minimal effort to quit. It was like a 'wonder drug'.

However, people taking it are given a word of caution.
  • It can make you ill (projectile vomiting and stomach aches) if you don't eat adequately prior to taking it.
  • I had dry mouth and had to pee a lot at night.
  • It can and most likely will give you "unusual" dreams. I found them enjoyable and "trippy." Others say that nightmares on this stuff are particularly horrific. I was fortunate to avoid such issues.
  • It can make some very emotional. I was "weepy" for no reason through the first week. There are some class action law suits regarding the emotional side effects of these pills, including some people committing suicide and murder.

There are other side effects and anyone considering the pills should research them adequately. Additionally, some people can have nasty allergic reactions to the pills. If any of these side-effects are not experienced to a great extent this pill rocks and I highly recommend it!

Sounds like quite the wacky drug. Any drug that messes with your dreams and makes one emotional must be also doing some even stranger things to your organs. But considering the horrible consequences of smoking, side effects of one temporary drug might be worth it. I know a guy at work who is going to try to quit soon. I'll tell him about it.
