Study: Alternatives to trans-fats may not be so healthy

Sheesh -- what a surprise.. The Trans Fats are gone from the eateries and what do you know -- the new stuff isn't looking much better. I hope this helps more people understand that replacing one crappy product with another in a different name is not the key to 'downsizing' the obesity epidemic. Banning this and replacing that is not the answer. We should be getting these people educated. The more educated they are, the more they see the mental and physical benefits of a sound diet, the better chance they have of making better choices.

Huh. Lowering insulin levels probaly causes the rise in blood glucose, directly. I wonder how it lowers insulin? I don't suppose they looked at cortisol levels? Glucagon? Hmm.

Well the Mc Donalds around here started using there no trans fat oil. And I can tell you that as a food lover. There French Fries are now the worst on the planet..

Agreed. If one wants to eat fries fried into trans-fatty acid foods then they should have the freedom. Now, if a restaurant makes their own decision to do so, it's nobodies business but that company. The government, however, has no place to step in and make that decision.

So correct there but there fries were good when your on the road and have to keep going. But yeah there are not even on my list anymore.

First it was smoking, now trans fat foods, it seems like being an individual in America is on the endangard speices list.
