Possible marker for Alzheimer's found

I didn't see this anywhere else, but looks like more advancements in figuring out ways to diagnose Alzheimer's pre-death. Recently, an important "biomarker" in the form of certain proteins in spinal fluid has been identified. More here:

I hope someone makes a breakthrough with this disease.
As someone who has seen this disease first-hand, I feel this is perhaps the most heart breaking disease I know of.

It's a terrible disease. I've never known anyone personally who had it, but I've worked in a few health-care settings and have seen plenty of it to see what it does as well. I'm not sure if there are degrees of it, but some cases definitley seem more severe than others.
