That's quite a hard question... previously you'd do America and the USSR, but now...
You could still talk about America and Russia, looking for example at the current issue over the anti-missile missiles that America wants to put in Poland and the Czech Republic, and how Russia tries to stop American influence in its near states, such as Georgia and Ukraine.

Be that as it may, an historical view of the US v. USSR, then moving into a view of the US v. the PRC might do.
