People of Chagos Islands allowed to return home
Forty years ago the natives of the Chagos islands in the Indian ocean were forcefully removed from their homes by british forces to create space for the US airbase Diego Garcia. An american newspaper once called the resettlement a "mass act of kidnapping". Now a London High Court has granted the Chagossians the right to return home after a decades long legal battle, and dismissed the british governements case against it............
