Talking What Is Happening In Pakistan?

Musharaf publishes biography. Therein The President of Pakistan relates a meeting with Richard Armitage, the Luca Brazzi of the US State Department. Prior to our invasion of Afghanistan Mr. Armitage pays a visit to The President of Pakistan and informs the Pakistani President that America will "bomb Pakistan back into 'The Stonage' if She does not cooperate.
In todays "New York Times" the Chief Justice of The Pakistani Supreme Court tells us about how and why he got fired. In a country of laws, people cannot be grabbed off the street by secret police, he says. Tens of thousands of people line the rout of the fired Supreme Court Justices motorcade throwing rose petals at his car. Thou Shalt Not Bully Thy Neighbors because they will become like Amazonian Army Ants on an Elephant.

Pakistan has turned into a royal mess...Recently 10 (?)pak. army personell were killed in a gun battle with Taliban, shortly after a treaty was signed and then Cheney goes to visit to straighten them out. Allover-sudden it was reported that a Taliban leader was arrested...Thats about the news I heard in the last few months, apart from a reporters visit and interviews revealing that Tribes now rule some regions and the people are scared as hell. It seems that Pakistan is in bed with the Taliban.

The Pakistani military government doesn't like the Taliban, but many ordinary people do, especially in the north-eastern mountains. Their popularity amongst ordinary people is something the government realises, and so they won't move against them too overtly.

That's the way of the world. The rulers do what they like, and the ordinary people take the cost.

Sussex is a good uni, a lot of my friends go there. I wanted to go there, but my parents wouldn't let me go to university in Brighton, they wanted me to go far away.
So I ended up going to Uni in another country!
