America Policeman of the world!
Why does America assume the police man attitude towards the world, a Country full of corruption, a right wing abuser of human rights and an ignorance of the worlds politics. In short a bully.
I am English, I have no reason to thank America for anything, apart from profiteering from the world and starting crisis throughout the world. A country that financed terrorism, such as the IRA and A.Q in the early days to fight Russia. Why should we care that planes fly into New York, terrorists or your own corrupt government? New York, financed IRA terrorists why they killed innocent UK Children and families, well done America. Now chasing the oil, you kill and abuse Arab Countries!, when will you meglomaniacs stop!
You have such arrogance, your education is poor, standards are below more civillised parts of the world, you cant deal with any crisis, your military kills ' friendly fire' allie troops.
Please tell me, who the hell do you think you are?, Criminals, corrupt, war making bullies....that is all we see.

I’m not being partial, but just some points are needed to be said: 1- there are many brilliant Americans as well, who don’t like this manner of their politicians.
2- in terms of oil and ME, as an Iranian whose country has taken interferes of Britain more than a century I should say they are not that innocent either.
even in iraq war you are participating, aren't you?

Well, you are speaking English right? Not... um... lets say.... German. Your welcome by the way.

If for no other reason than there were Englishmen in the building too.
We only get like 11% of our oil from the ME.

Our education is poor... no, we have some people who do not want to learn. I'm no fan of public (government) schools, but if it were not for American ingenuity for the last 200 years (and still today) we wouldn't have had half of the advances in science that mankind now enjoys.
More civili zed parts of the world? Geeze man, that sounds kind of.... um.... arrogant to me.
And no offence to our other English posters on this board (I really like England personally) who the hell is an Englishman to lecture us on emperialistic and exploitive tendencies?

To be fair, Britain is not conquering the world these days, we have kind of moved on.

Yep, seems to me that Britain has kind of moved on in the manner of US, when it comes to Iraq.

Alright, that's fair...
Britain is no-longer conquering the world for ourselves. Now we're just America's bitch.

Sorry about your being our bitch. Although the Bushits may have enjoyed it, I did not. Just don't do it again. OK? Given that I was reading that the British public was overwhelmingly against going into Iraq as we did, I was surprised that Labor Party Tony got away with supporting Bush's trip.

Why would he not get away with it? There's no law that says you have to have democratic support to go to war.
There was a vote in the House of Commons, which he barely won through extensive use of the Whip (ie bullying his MPs). And considering that the other main party was the Conservatives...
In fact, he didn't need to have a vote. I suppose he just did it to be respectable. The Prime Minister wields the Royal Prerogative, which includes the power to declare and wage war without consulting parliament.
