Dear forum members,
If you use social bookmarking (facebook, delicious, digg, furl, feedmelinks, magnolia, netscape, newsvine, reddit, Slashdot, SphereIt, Spurl, StumbleUpon, Technorati, YahooMyWeb) you can now share your favorite threads with your social bookmark community. Easy social bookmarking has now been added to the software of this forum. Simply follow the illustrated instructions below to social bookmark forum threads.
On a thread that you want to share, click on the "Submit Tools" where the arrow is pointing (in the example below).
A drop down menu comes down with a list of quick links to social bookmarks.
Click on the social bookmark community you want to add the thread to.
Let's try the social bookmark community "digg". If you already have an account there, you are familiar with this process. You will be prompted to describe the link you are adding and put it in the appropriate category.
If you do not belong to a social bookmark community (I'll used the social bookmark community "delicious" for example) and you want to add a thread to a social bookmark community, you will be sent to a registration page, where you may choose to start an account on that social bookmark community or not.
That concludes that tutorial.
What is a social bookmark community? A social bookmark community is a group of bookmarks selected by a group of folks on the web. It is like a list of "cool webpages" that are selected by a community of people on the internet. There are several such communities as have been enumerated above (i.e. delicious, digg, facebook, etc).
Enjoy.
