Murat Kurnaz , a nineteen year old at the time of his capture, from Bremen/ Germany , was one the detainees in Guantanamo who were released after four years and cleared of all charges. It´s already clear that the governement of Gerhard Schröder is not without responsibilty he had to stay in Cuba for four years, since they refused to take him back ( in charge was the now incumbent foreign minister Steinmeier) , but now Kurnaz has come up with something probably more serious. He claims he was abused by german special forces at that time operating in Afghanistan. The charges include pysical abuse and also they didn´t do anything to prevent his transport to Guantanamo. The defence minstry was quick to denounce the claims as unfounded , but now had to admit, that Kurnaz indeed "encountered" german soldiers. A parliamentary investigation is likely, since this is not the first case where the Schröder governement was publicly denouncing Bush and secretly cooperating...
