Island Greeks and Turks start new reeunification talks for Cyprus

The election of new greek/cypriot president Christofias seems to bring a breath of fresh air to the divided island. Christofias and turkish/cypriot president Mehmet Ali Talat agreed to restart the formerly frozen reeunification talks. And if both parts of the island were reeunified the North would immidiately join the EU also......

And what about the Turks that had to flee from the greek part ?
Anyhow several decades have passed and it will be practically impossible to return every home and property.
And a deal only acknowledging the suffering of only one side won´t bring peace, it has to be acceptable for both parts of the island.

I think unification of Turkish Cyprus with Greek Cyprus isn't benefit of neither Greeks nor Turks in the island.Cyprus had unified in the past, but then Greek Cypriots tried to assimilate Turkish Cypriots into Greek society.A terrorist organization named EOKA (National Organisation of Cypriot Fighters) killed most of Turks in Cyprus. I think same events will be lived by ordinary Greek and Turkish Cypriots if the island unify again.
