The Oceans

I just watched this show last night on OETA about the oceans and how badly filled with garbage they are. It could kill the entire ocean and all of it's creatures, and eventually come to us. This guy went on a fishing trip and said that every time he would come out on deck he would see garbage in the water. The bad thing is, is that the plastic and most things thrown into the ocean, never goes away. It sits there forever, eventually a fish or wale will get caught in it and die. The whole ocean could eventually die. Recycling can help this problem greatly, but not solve what has all ready happened.

Maybe instead of that guy going out and killing innocent fish he should have put giant skimmers on the boat to help clean up all those giant plastic bags the whales are getting caught in.

Without a healthy natural environment there will be no intellectual environment.

I have seen the trash described as far north as the Arctic Ocean. Virtually every ocean beach in the world is littered with plastic trash often from thousands of miles away. Countless birds, seals, otters and other mammals are entangled in pastic trash each year and usually die slow and painful deaths. Whales and fish ingest the plastic are are poisoned by the toxic residue. The end of the age of oil will be a blessing to the natural environment.

My point was: a guy going out to kill fish was worried about how fish were dying. Maybe all those nets and hooks are dangerous to the fish too?

I am not certain what your point is. In one form or another we are all responsible for the damage done to our planet, and we all need to begin treating it like our home rather than a garbage dump.

Apparently sharks are thriving, one just ate a fellow human being and killed him. I say put the shark to the electric chair!
