Ultimately we are all part of the food chain. When you go into the ocean you are not at the top of the chain. It has been found that when we overharvest the natural prey of sharks they become more aggressive in their search for food. The same phenomena occurs when we invade the habitat of other natural predators and reduce their prey. I have worked with natural predators, including brown bears and wolves. I learned to respect them and never to take them for granted.
