Hey, election 2006 ain't over yet!

Karen Carter for U.S. Congress

There is still the matter of the corrupt William Jefferson.

Here is Jefferson's runoff opponent. The runoff vote is Dec. 9. She's kind of a cutie.

For those who don't know, both are Democrats, so as with Cynthia McKinney, you can't lose.

The 2006 election is over, and it resulted in a victory
for the Democratric party.

The Democrats will chair all congerssional committees
for the next two years.

Cynthia McKinney was there before, and she may be there later.
We gotta cope.

The election is not over until the end of Congress. They will try to look more productive with the hope it will help in '08.

I'm a bit confused. Weren't ALL of the House Representatives replaced? Why was Jefferson not running a race on Nov. 7th?

Louisiana requires a majority in every election and has no primaries. So the end result of many races is a runoff, which is held about a month later.

Jefferson got 30% of the vote for his House seat, so now he has to have a runoff with the candidate who finished second, Karen Carter.
