I agree since some codes for the Diebolt manchines are on the web, I think the paper trail would be the best idea. Then no one can claim foul.

Voting machines are less of a problem than the fact that when you register to vote, you don't have to provide any evidence that you are who you say you are.
I could fill out 100 registrations and get 100 cards in the mail and probably get away with it.

I can assure you, not a darn thing is being done. There is absolutely no identification requirement to register, and absolutely no verification done on the government end. You have to do something really obvious to get busted.

It was on NPR.... oh... about a week or so ago, it was a report on that subject, and how there is a national database now to eliminate this problem. Of course it has it's bugs right now and they are working on them.
