First of all let's not destroy our own character by saying "anything but my view has no character"!
Secondly... There's been liberals who have fought and died for this country and liberals in public service who have given their whole life to help others... this is the same with many conservatives who although I don't agree with much I also don't just lump all into one group and character assasinate them.
The Kennedy's have had two (2) young men in their family assasinated while serving our country!
Had they not been in power during the Civil Rights struggle authorities in the south might still be light years behind in the way people of color are treated.
They took on organized crime and many think that's why they were brutally murdered.
Ted Kennedy may not quite rise to the level of his brothers but he fights with every ounce of that big overgrown body of his to bring money back into Massachusetts and even though he's rich beyond measure... no one, NO ONE, fights harder for the benefit of poor people or old people. That is character.
Ted Kennedy is a husband and a father and a grandfather and he does his job. He deserves better than a lot of what's being said here.
