I completely agree. It also will contribute to people using less oil in the form of gasoline, diesel and jet fuel. The cost of oil directly affects the price of just about everything we use, so our overall rate of consumption will drop. The amount of oil saved through these cut backs will far exceed what might be gained through the development of alternative fuels. In that regard, conservation is our greatest possible source of meeting energy shortages.
