Talking Why is Debai buying up 20% of the NASDAQ

This is alarming that Debai is buying 20% of the NASDAQ. Bin Laden family are the 2nd largest shareholders...

Check out USA today story: USATODAY.com - Bin Laden's operatives still using freewheeling Dubai

Well I don't think this conversation will go far, but why don't you tell us what Ron Paul's position is on foreign trade?

Why? Because they HAVE the money, and we WANT the money. This government doesn't really give a damn where it comes from, as amply evidenced by Bush's support of the Dubai port deal. Even Republicans weren't crazy about that one.

I'm still wondering if I slept late the day China became such a great ally of ours that we freely allow them to buy up our debt. Maybe they weren't our outright enemies before, at least in the last decade or so, but they never seemed to be close enough to us that we would borrow money from them.

My concern is that it is a hub for international terrorists.

Ron Paul is for free trade and never votes for legislation unless the proposed measure is expressly authorized by the Constitution.

I must of slept through that one too. Why did Mattel apologize?

Wouldn't Paul favor this deal then?

This may be a left field guess, but I suspect it's possible that the State Department may have asked them to. I'm not an economist, but my understanding is that if China dumped all the notes they have from us it could put a bit of a hurt on our already bankrupt economy. They took a big hit with all the scandals of late (One head of a factory which made Mattel toys committed suicide.) and they might be getting a little pissed off at us.
