Your Take on Gay Rights
I strongly disagree with gay rights, it is just not right. I think that it is more of the choice of being gay more than the gay rights. Sure, I do believe that all human beings deserve the same rights. No offense to those who support it. What is your take?

I believe that gays should have the same rights as those who practice abstinence or any other legal form of sex/non sex, no matter how odd it may seem to some. Our planet suffers from too many people, and those who avoid sex that leads to overpopulation do our whole planet a favor. Thank you for not breeding- you are doing God's work

Yeah it sucks to have to honor the civil rights of others just because that old piece of paper in D.C. says so. [sarcasm]

There is no such thing as gay rights, or straight rights, or womens rights, or mens rights, only human rights, and all humans are allowed to have them.

I agree. I guess gay rights are okay but I do not believe they should be able to be married to a person of the same sex.

I think it is more of the choice of being gay rather than gay rights that I disagree with.

Very true.

I don't think it should even be an issue. Who cares what other people do. A lot of people obviously, but the point being, just because you disagree with what other people do in their private life it doesn't mean that you should be able to dictate what they can and can't do. As Africanhope said, there is no such thing as gay rights. We all have the same rights, or at least should be afforded the same rights regardless of what they do in the bedroom.

I personally think we should do away with civil marriage altogether, and let it be a personal matter. Allow people to legally name 1-2 other people as their next of kin, granting them the legal rights that a spouse would normally fulfill, and let any two people who live together file taxes together.
As for the adoption process leave it the 1) the biological parents to decide who can adopt the kid 2) the adoption agency.
There, everyone is happy. People can get married in their churches or private ceremonies or whatever, have the same legal rights, and "the sanctity" of marriage is kept however people want it.
