WOW! Just WOW!
I'm just blown away by this head line:
Poisoned spy blames Putin for his death - Yahoo! News
How, I ask, can anyone blame anybody after they are dead? Yea, yea I know, I just found this head line funny.

It seems a lot of people who oppose Putin end up dead. I believe him.

Polonium ? Absolutely weird. I understood at first that they thought it was Thallium. That's another not so pleasent element to introduce to your system.
Stranger and stranger. Not just anybody knows these things and not just anybody can go GET them either for use to poison someone (or for anything else for that matter).
Guess it might be interesting. Not that we'll ever really know anything of course.

THis is nothing new for the KGB. I believe that they dicked away one of the Primier's, by coating the handle of his briefcase with a siminlar compound and back in those days it appeared the guy had leukemia. Just a day at the office for these guys.

This piece seems to try and predict a new type of Cold War.
How was Alexander Litvinenko murdered? We don’t know yet; we may never find out, but what is clear is his death marks the start of a new Cold War. The question is how to win it.
Some interesting stuff here.

I think there is still info up to come. British authorities have found out that Litvinenko has been poisend by some very rare radioactive substance. Polonium if I remember right.
I am sure not too many organisations on earth are able to organize and use it in this sophisticated way.
What I just dont get is, why someone should use such a special method. It automatically reduces the number of suspects dramatically.

My grandfather always said to be careful what you say, for someone will take exception. Now my question is: how will they determine who is the culprit? Not like he will have traces of it on his hands.

How says anyone except the responsible ones will ever know?
But there is a way to find out in how far the Russian state is connected to this. There will be detailed investigations from the British side as this is a crime on British territory. They will need information from Russia sooner or later about this or that.
If there should be a lack of will to cooperate from Russian side I think everything is said. If not and the investigations do not lead to anything we are as unknowing about who could have done it as before.
