The Palestinian Islamic Jihad's military wing, Saraya al-Quds, is threatening to strike U.S. interests in the Middle East if its leader is harmed.
The organization's threats Tuesday come a day after the Federal Bureau of Investigation posted a $5 million reward for information leading to Islamic Jihad Secretary-General Ramadan Shallah, on the FBI's most wanted terrorist list.
Saraya al-Quds warned the U.S. administration, in a statement made available to United Press International in Gaza, against harming Shallah "or any other symbol of Palestinian resistance."
The movement said should any physical harm come to its leader, "Islamic Jihad will threaten U.S. interests in the entire region. The American intelligence services and their agents in the region will face a wave of forceful operations targeting all American interests.
