Will Women Rule The World?
Now, what are the thoughts on this piece? Will they?
Will women rule the world?
Germany is already governed by a woman. In America and France women are trying to seize the presidency from men. Are we ready for a triumvirate of Iron Ladies? Sarah Baxter watches the barricades fall
The black limos were lined up bumper to bumper outside the Chinese restaurant near Capitol Hill where Hillary Clinton was hosting a party last week. Washington’s power elite had gathered to honour the senior senator for New York, Charles Schumer, a master tactician who helped to win Congress for the Democrats last autumn. But it was Clinton, the junior senator for New York, who was the alpha politician in the room.
Wearing a light-grey trouser suit (a masculine touch) and a necklace with a gold and ruby cross (don’t forget the religious vote), Clinton was at her most playful and charming. “It was here that we had our first date,” she said to Schumer with feminine coquetry.

Hopefully, there will be some good exchanges on the role of women and the world.

Why does it matter? People think women leaders will be less agrresive and arrogant than males, but these are not normal people, these are politicians. Whether you are male or female, you need the same sort of personality to get to the top. Women leaders will be no different to male ones.

I do believe everything is its own cycle and this is one of the aspects of change. I also think it can make a different world.
At least in moslem world.
Moslem women right now are objective to rules practiced by Islamic countries, and they believe religion is about justice, so it can’t be as unfair about women as it is right now. therefore they would make big changes in these countries if in power.
I read about it couple of days ago, may be a week, I’ll link to it if I find the english text.

I agree it would make a difference in Muslim countries, but not in the west. While there is a rise in women politicians in the west, can you really see any Islamic nation electing a female leader?

This is one of those “unfair things” I was talking about, for which even right now women are fighting in iran.
But even in America I can see people are still not that ready for a woman president, right?
with all respect, I'm not so sure about your first sentece also, but I prefer not to enter any argument.

Maybe after the clerics become women. Any guesses as to when that will happen? Perhaps about the same time as a female pope?

Well, I can see female Muslim clerics in say Europe, Indonesia, India, etc, just not the Arab countries. Central Asia maybe, Iran no.

I'm not sure, but then i'm not an American. I haven't heard any yanks saying "I'm not going to vote for a woman" at all, but the very fact that they are asking if people are ready for it is a sign that they are less advanced int his than, say, Europeans, Africans, Latin Americans, south Asians...

There is definitely an ongoing sweep that will gain favor for women in politics, just like blacks in politics oftentimes have an edge simply because they are black, but it's going to pass and I don't think that women will rule the world. There will be female leaders, but people forget that many women still take care of the family and that is not going away. There will always be more men running in politics than women, and that's why there will be more male leaders. No one is holding the women back, it's not sexism or racism, it's just simple facts.
Hopefully, there will be some good exchanges on the role of women and the world.

That would require renouncing Muslim family Law, strictly adhered to by all Muslims on all personal and community issues. India has been fighting for modification of Muslim family law since colonial days, with no success.

If Hilary wins the election in "08, that will be one step closer to ruling the world, since the US has its fingers in the business of just about every country.
