Four Fla. counties were hit, and Ariz.TF1, VaTF1, MdTF1, are on their way to aid their brothers from Miami-DadeTF1, to aid those hurt in this tornado that claimed 14 lives. This was a 2 1/2 hour Super Cell storm;

Yikes. That is too bad. I'm glad I live in the Northeast. Tornadoes scare the jebus out of me.

Those reporters, talking about the fear of "kives and dangerous thing being tossed, have absolutely no idea of what they are talking about. This is what I used to do, and the fear that we work with is lifting any board from a home and someone being underneath those pieces of lumber, with an exposed nail can easily cut a carotid artery, causing a quick death. I was surprised I did not see any S & R Dogs on the ground, they are the true treasures in aiding to find a human life.

I grew up in West Texas where twisters were a fact of life. Run for the storm cellar were words taught to every young child before they could read.

Sadly, this hit at 3:00 A.M., and what I found totally strange was the fact that one county did not have a federally mandated warning siren for their citizens. Thak-God that R. Dave Paulison, the former Miami-Dade Fire Chief, is now the head of FEMA.
