US and Russia At Odds

WASHINGTON -- There was nothing new in the warnings Russia's top general made Wednesday against U.S. plans to deploy anti-ballistic missile defense systems in Central Europe. The news was that he was repeating what he had said before.

Ballistic Missile Defense: U.S. on collision course with Russia

I seem to remember a thread about Russia and its deployment of missiles. Thoughts?

Once again, Russia and America think of Europe as just a chessboard to play on. We're not going to be playing pieces for great powers... well, alright, we are. But we don't like it.

I think the defense contractors are vying for another market incase they don't get their way and can't waste billions in Iraq anymore.

WEB a good question and IMO, the US needs an antagonist, and there are just keeping all options open. The military-industrial complex needs these antagonist the more there are the more money can be mnade.
