This is my dream,
It is my own dream,
I dreamt it.
I dreamt that my hair was kempt.
Then I dreamt that my true love unkempt it.

Mhmmm...quite sexy DD...I like it. You're a bit of a dark horse there I think...
Is it an excerpt or is that it in its entirety?

Seer can be profound sometimes. I don't like to think of God that way, how can he be lonely with all of us here to cheer him up?

This is a song by Bob Dylan: All Along the Watchtower
"There must be some way out of here,"
said the joker to the thief,
"There's too much confusion,
I can't get no relief.
Businessmen, they drink my wine,
plowmen dig my earth,
None of them along the line
know what any of it is worth."
"No reason to get excited,"
the thief, he kindly spoke,
"There are many here among us
who feel that life is but a joke.
But you and I, we've been through that,
and this is not our fate,
So let us not talk falsely now,
the hour is getting late."
All along the watchtower,
princes kept the view
While all the women came and went,
barefoot servants, too.
Outside in the distance a wildcat did growl,
Two riders were approaching,
the wind began to howl.

Dylan is a legend and has influenced conservation through his songs. Hasn't done much recently, is he active in the US still?

I don’t know much about Bob Dylan. What got me into this song was Jimmy Hendrix.

This is one of my all time favorite poems/lyrics.
"Hurt" by Johnny Cash
I hurt myself today,
To see if I still feel
I focus on the pain ,
The only thing that's real
The needle tears a hole,
The old familiar sting
Try to kill it all away,
But I remember everything
What have I become,
My sweetest friend
Everyone I know goes away,
In the end
And you could have it all,
My empire of dirt
I will let you down
I will make you hurt
I wear this crown of thorns,
Upon my liar's chair
Full of broken thoughts,
I cannot repair
Beneath the stains of time,
The feelings disappear
You are someone else
I am still right here
What have I become,
My sweetest friend
Everyone I know goes away,
In the end
And you could have it all,
My empire of dirt
I will let you down
I will make you hurt
If I could start again,
A million miles away
I would keep myself
I would find a way

I know that song, it's the last one he made before he died. The video was sad, but the song is touching.

Oh Chookie. From the heart, I can feel it. It's all or nothing with you. Please post more if you have it.

I don’t know why I wrote this. Maybe because when I went out today I almost froze my ass off.
Tavern
Winter’s done drawn nigh
The bitter cold of its biting sigh,
Stirs no leaf under snowy grief
Nor little light in the grayness deep,
Through the clouds a-passing by
Bring thy hand near the hearth,
And knoweth that it will last,
Through the night and the rasp,
Of winter’s angry lash
Forget the troubles,
Forget the grim travels,
Forget thy brutish day
Let the ice of worry just melt away
Now have a drink
Touch the heat,
As the drink warms,
And trickles down,
To thy limbs,
And settles in,
And draws thee down,
Drifting sleepily toward the ground
Forget

I was pretty reluctant to post this up, I don't think I've shown it to anyone so just chucking it up on the net is a pretty big step. That being said, I probably just didn't show it to anyone cause I didn't occur to me. Here's something I wrote.
Chaos can be so soothing,
When you’re in the right mood,
Sitting in the middle of a crowded room,
With life fast forwarding around you,
The world on mute.
All alone in a city full of people,
Those nameless faces rushing by,
To work, to pick up the kids,
To catch that movie with the rave reviews,
Or to the bar, to their dealers,
To their whores and lovers,
And you just sit and watch,
Separated from their lives, their loves, their fears.
Isolated from their lives, their loves, their fears.
And why shouldn’t you be?
You have your own to worry about.
Because sooner or later you have to get up,
Stand up and press your own fast forward button,
Let the sounds come flooding back,
And take your place amongst those nameless faces
