Harry Potter Theories: Spoiler Warning

Is Dumbledore really dead? Was Snape acting on Dumbledore's orders? Is Snape a double agent? Will Harry Potter have to die? Will book 7 ever come out?

Let the speculation begin....

So what does that mean, he has to die to truly kill Voldemort? Can he excise that part of Voldemort's soul? If so, will he lose a part of who he is or his own soul? Maybe all it would cost him is his abilities as a Parselmouth.

It means they die at the same time because that would be a dramatic ending.

doesn't Voldemort have to place a bit of himself inside the Horcrux? would he have to have done it willingly (in order for Harry to be the last one which i have also speculated...) or is it something that can happen "accidentally"? would Harry's mother have sealed her child's fate by binding him to Voldemort in a way that would ensure both of their deaths?

J.K. Rowling has said she is making no promises about the lives of any of the characters... but i wonder if it would make sense to have Harry be the last Horcrux...

How many times have you people guessed at what is going to happen in the Harry Potter books and been completely wrong?

Several. But that will never stop us from guessing anyway.

I like the Horcrux theory. I just hope there's something that can reverse it. Give that part of his soul back to Voldemort and then kill him. Otherwise I'm gonna be pissed.

There are several possibilities, the others as much specualtion as the next. That's why her books are so great.

i actually read all the books pretty close in succession (i was a late Harry Potter bloomer) so i didn't have time to formulate any theories until this last stretch between the 6th and 7th book.

i was very surprised when Snape killed Dumbledore though. i like to go out for a drive and then find a place to read.. and when i got home i yelled to my boyfriend (who doesn't read the books and knows what he knows from the movies and me) "oh my gosh! Snape killed Dumbledore!" he.. really didn't care but he was nice enough to pretend like he did. and then i rambled on forever.
