A site of reference

I'm not quite sure if this would be the correct forum to place a general political query in with no direct correlation to the issues, but I took my best guess. So mods feel free to move this wherever neccesary.

I have spent a large portion of my day meandering about the internet searching for various sites that would give me access to information regarding issues and political ideals. More specifically I was hoping for a site that would provide both sides of the spectrum concerning opinions on topics of debate. I have currently been using Project Vote Smart - American Government, Elections, Candidates and Voting which has done me fair justice for researching alot of my debate material. I was wondering what other people used for their information database most often.

Now, when i need some information, i generally start off at Wikipedia for some background information. When the debate moves on, i either follow the sources that Wiki used for a more in-depth analysis or i look t see who is the authority on the subject and find works by them.
