this thread is to discuss illegal Indonesian fishing boats in Australian waters. Australia has beautiful coasts and reefs which are fished by Indonesian fishing boast. the reason for this is Australia has a sustainable fishing program (copied for New Zealand) that means we have much better fishing then our northen neighbours.
the people fishing our waters are not greedy corporations but poverty stricken people. is this right or wrong
on one hand people eat and earn a living
on the other our eco-system is under threat as they target certain fish more then others and local tourist and fishing industry is suffering
