Homosexual adoption and marriage

As we know, Australia does not permit homosexual adoption or marriage. The topic is not a current one and has been discussed on numerous occasions.

I just wanted to know what the public has to say about this way.

Gay2Share.com

The site had people on the streets giving their opinions as well as a voting poll.
Quite interesting.

in my opinion
if christians won't let gay people marry then just make a second thing identical to marriage but have it between to people not a man and a woman, i think people have been calling it 'domestic union'.

I don't particularly have an opinion one way or the other, but I find it funny when people who are against gay adoption say that it might not be good for the children. WTF? Have you seen the way that heteros are raising their kids? That shit is about responsibility, and almost all of the gay people I've met and known were a hell of a lot more responsible than most of the straight people I've met and known. I just don't really see how they can make that criticism.

the main argument for gay people not raising kids is actually that the kids miss out on a male or female role model. because gays have never been aloud or able to raise kids in the past it is unknown what if any effect there will be on the kid.

I think the effect would be equivalent to being raised by a single parent… accept there are 2 of them…

I think as long as there are kids in adoption centers waiting to be adopted, (and no couple is adopting them) gays should be allowed to adopt them (because the alternative would be sitting around in a adoption center... duh...).

I'm sure they would have beds for the kids to lie down on

Good point…

Edit: “because the alternative would be laying around in a adoption center.”

It still isn’t the same as loving parents.

Let them marry and let them adopt. Have you seen of the idiot straight couples out there? I have a gay brother and I know he could've raised my sons as well as my wife and did.

going on the fact that there is no evidence against gay adoption (only suspicion) and that I'm already all for gay marriage i agree

but there should be a background check before anyone can adopt particular gays. it is no secret that many more gays then straight people are mentally disturbed/unwell. don’t get me wrong I don’t think all homosexuals are crazy but it really is more common it gays.

We have embraced public urination.

Gay and Lebsian child adoption doesnt seem so bad. Does it?

There will be bad and good parents regardless of whether they are gay or straight. And our Prime Minister could use a couple of lessons of the gay community.
