I think Howard makes a good point in drawing a line between a Secular Australia and a Muslim-Sharia-Law Australia. Other than that, I think while he went over board - it's good that he's saying things like this to get (what i feel are) repressed feelings out on the table to be dealt with, regardless of who is right or wrong.

Today only two countries have Sharia law, Iran and Saudi Arabia. Why America support a regime (Saudi Arabia) which not only has the Sharia law but violate the civil and human rights with one million ways?
Why America Support a country which not only havs sharia law but is the main financial supporter for new mosques worldwide?
Do not you see that America do not care for democracy, human rights or Sharia law but how to grab the oil from Muslim countries?
Do not you see that America exports fake democracy?
It is not bad if America's acts comply with their words.
It is not bad if America restore its credibility worldwide
