BUSH'S ASIAN TRIP
I have been watching this pretty close and everytime he makes one of his patented speeches he smirks. I would not trust a priest if he smirked when talking about religion. Bush does not mean a damn thing he is saying. It is all political rhetoric, that is political correct label for BULLSHIT!

All he seems to be doing is spreading the " stay the course" message. He hasn't accomplished anything on this trip.

This is one of those cases where it may look as though nothing got done on the outside, but from within I wouldn't be surprised if they got some things accomplished (as in with the respective governments). The news was just covering protesters because that gets more ratings.

True--I do not see any progress made; the news from the area dose not seem to suggest that much is accomplished.

He was just doing the political thing of a photo-op. The meetings were probably nothing more than smiles.

That may have been his thing but did you notice that when they had a joint conference, standing side by side, a bust of Uncle Ho was smiling behind them. Vietnam is definately not a failure, and it is a success not because of the US involv ement but rather reformist within the govt who see the need for state capitalism.
