Protests In China

It would seem that Chaina is having a prob with its citizens. A massive protests were called to protest the death of a child. The child consumed some chemicals and was taken to the hospital where he was refused treatment because his family did not have enough money.

I thought China was socialist and that being so healthcare is a given. Am I mistakened?

I think that doctor should treat that child even though they don't have money. But the people seem to be too crazy. It is understandable that child's family are angry, but it is really strange why those strangers demonstrate and destroy the hospital... That family probably have some marfia background.

The link would not open for me--the incident took place in southwest China. Why was the child not treated? A lack on money is pretty sad reason.
