China will Clean up Regulations

7th, March on Xin Hua Web -- According to the central government news

network, the Office of the State Council recently to all levels of

provinces, autonomous regions and municipal governments, ministries,

agencies directly under the issue of the "The announcement of administrative

to cleanup regulations"which called on the existing administrative rules and

regulations to conduct a comprehensive clean-up.

The range for clean-up is : the existing administrative rules and

regulations formulated by the State Council, the current regulations and

provinces, autonomous regions, The larger municipalities, and the city

government's existing regulations.

The "Annoucement" on the administrative regulations and rules were made

clear principles stipulated. Administrative regulations has been the main

content of the new laws and regulations as a substitute, to officially

abolished; administrative regulations applicable adjustment period has

expired or the target has disappeared, the practice has failed to declare

failure; administrative regulations inconsistent with the law, should be

amended. Main content regulations and laws, administrative rules and

regulations are, or have been new laws, regulations, rules and regulations

as a substitute, to officially abolished; Regulations that apply for

adjustment period has expired or has disappeared, the practice has failed to

declare failure; individual provisions of the law and rules and regulations

are inconsistent and have to be revised.

Hmmm, what is going here is not very clear. Is any kind of law really going to be abolished in China? At the end of the day, the CCP will still be controlling China, and the people of China have no freedom of the press or the vote.

This sounds like some bureaucratic reshuffling. Is that what it is?
