Korea Unification By 2020

Does this sound feasible to you?

The North Korean nuclear issue is likely to be finally resolved only when the two Koreas unify , probably in a way similar to that of Ukraine after the collapse of the Soviet Union, a U.S. report says.

Titled ``U.S.-Japan Alliance: Getting Asia Right Through 2020,’’the report issued by the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) Friday forecast the unification of the two Koreas by 2020 but possibly through a highly risky process.

CSIS is close to the Heritage Foundation in ideology, both being favorites of Bush and Rummy for studies used to form policy. 'Getting Asia Right' is, to me, a thinly disguised desire for regime change in N. Korea and a continuing gap between US/S. Korean trade relations.

The article was too short and lacking in evidence and theory to back up it's thesis: "Korea to be unified by 2020."

Ifthis is what the people of the two Koreas want, great, and if they can settle their own differences. But ultimatly, it is their choice, their path

Nothing is that simple when the US considers your country a strategic jump point in the neocon scheme of things.
