Koreans say all Asia, even Siberia once belonged to Korean kingdoms:

last year in Changchun, China, Korean athletes held banners that say Changbai Mountain is Korean:

This is yet another meaningless attempt at defining legitimacy based on ethnic lines and socially constructed falsehoods.
It only results in wars and oppressions. If Korean people want to claim stuff and yell at clouds, let them. It's their right, opposition only fuels their cause.

This sounds like something most likely to have sprung
from the sick mind of the NK Kim dynasty.

I doubt there are many Koreans North or South who
really believe this crap.

There may still be a small Korean ethnic minority
in China alnong the Yale border, and in the Russian
Maritime province.

However, the Korean language is not closely related
to any other, and if Koreans had once been so much
more widespread you would think pockets of Korean
speakers would have survived far from what is now
the Korean homeland.

Other than that place names can provide evidence
of earlier inhabitants. For example, Balt and Finnish
names for rivers indicate those people were once
more far-flung in Europe. The linguistic provenance
of Asian river names is bound to have been closely
studies. I wonder what the results were?

I second that, Kim has a lot of incentive to pretend Siberia rightfully belongs to Korea, since he was born there but attempt to pass a strict nationalist-ethnocentric image.

See where the hell did you hear that from, cause to me it just rings false. The west had an opportunity to re-invade China during the Korean War, we chose not to, it doesn't seem like something South Koreans would want to re-hash.

It sounds like good old fashioned communist fear tactics to me actually.
