Why give French privilege!
Three days ago two trains crashed together in our province, more than 40 people died! There are 4 French guys wounded, our gov sent them to the best hospital in China and our minister went to the hospital to look in them and asked the doctors to treat them best! Why? Why other wounded chinese can't be sent to the best hospital and treated by the best doctors? Are French guys lives more expensive than ours?

The French people might I suppose have had Insurance for the best medical treatment and I'd guess the visit from your Minister was for outside publicity.
You are quite right that everyone's life is as important as everyone else's. I'd certainly agree that everyone needed the best treatment. People sometimes pay for luxury as extras which might have been covered by their insurance, but it would be up to your government to provide the best treatment for all it's citizens - that is how it happens in this country.
Our government people usually like to be seen on tv visiting us whenever there is any kind of incident like this.

My guess a media stunt by the Chinese government to demonstrate to the French that "not all Chinese" are against France. The demonstrations against the French companies and stores must have somewhat disrupted relations perhaps.
Nonetheless I agree with you, everyone should have the right for the same care, barring that the same chance.

Why doesn't China improve the quality of their hospital care so that no matter where someone goes they receive the best possible treatment? It sounds like China has inferior hospitals (for the common Chinese) and superior hospitials (for foreigners and government officials).
I guess it's to be expected in a so-called "socialist" society.

First of all, China does not have the best hospitals. Second, there were about 400 who are injured, how can hospitals accomodate 400 patients at the same time without sacrificing some care?

Chinese hospitals are heavily privatized (some socialist dream hey?). I'm not surprised that they would send those with more money to better hospitals.

We would probably have to send the victims to numerous hospitals as well here in the US but the quality of care would be excellent wherever they went.

In average, yes, the hospitals in the US is probably certainly better than in China. However, the hospitals in the US is getting worse and worse, alot of ER's get shut down because they do not have to funds to run, long wait times, the outrageous cost, etc... When I had a high ***** and went to a hospital a few years back, they didn't see me until 3 hours later.
