Of course, changing for the better is not good enough for the those westerners.
On the comments on a communist regime, it is matter of opinion. There are many westerners who lived in or visited China and they would have a different opinion of how China's communist government is like compared of what they have read in their textbooks.

I lived in China for almost a year and am currently majoring in Chinese languages and studies and I'd have to say that despite certain exaggerations and certain key words (my favorite was the Beijing police being called the "communist police") the fundamentals of these wrongs in China are still very present and harming people. Liberalism is not a matter of opinion -- it's choosing between surviving or dying.

I only hate the CCP and nationalism (of any state, even for Canada).
If you take that as being all of China, as you wish. I do not hate nationalists, they can be very nice, but I'm fully entitled to hate ideologies.

forget? who forget? Not you not me! No one can forget the history, no matter it is wrong or right, it is and will be history, forgetting history is dangerous! I am interested in history and like to read history when childhood! Every country may do wrong things! But at least China doesn't criticize and interrupt others when doing wrong things like US. They are American, so they think they can do everything!
Haha, i like your sarcasm, i can't change you, and you also can't change me!
You are learning chinese language? Good! i think chinese language is hard for foreigners to learn, I hope I can discuss with you in Chinese soon. I am preparing to learn German by myself. Hope we could get progress in learning.

I hate nationalism too, I also hate CCP's bad things, that's why I barely watch CCTV's news reports except weather forecast! I always hate politics, if there were not such things happened with our torch relay and Tibetan riots, I wouldn't care politics and i wouldn't come here to discuss. But it is strange why I support CCP and socialism. I just think CCP was ever a great leader of Chinese people, they liberated all chinese, and the so-called western democratic countries seems they are not friendly to us, and they ever brought great hurt to chinese people, so I would rather support CCP and believe they will do better than believing western democracy and cast down our gov, they always judge we are evil because we use different system.

Sure you forget, since whenever one is criticizing China, you always deviate the conversation to what the US is doing and end up not responding to what the CCP is actually doing; to me that's purposefully forgetting and it's a fallacy.
Plus you tend to talk little about 1898 and 1989..... geee I wonder why. That's part of every history textbook concerning China here, they're defying moments of the new "liberal" China.....

You don't hate nationalism. You're nationalist in every sense of the word. Nationalism is putting the nation at very high esteem, it's doing not for one self but for one's country, it's judging people based on their nationality, it's refusing criticism because it might hurt the image of a nation....you are guilty of all of these.

From a strictly legal point of view, unfortunately yes. But then again, so were slaves. Things can change, and I hope they will in this regard as well.
