I never said drug lords supply general welfare, trade always does that, merely that charity does exist in South America. Plus, I find your view of South America one that is affected by the "World Vision syndrome". Not everybody down there is a poor orphan that can't fend off for him.herself. There is still economic trade and development. Nationalization of production though, is not at all a viable solution.
the middle class in latin america is marginalized and the upper class have the resources whereas the lower class dont even hold a home on their name. you'll have to convince this group that their lives have bettered, but they view the inequality in property as injustice and leaders that bring on ideas of nationalizing industries where a thing waiting to happen.

If those Dutch farmers are bloody rich off price mark ups and subsidies, that means that there must be a strong economic backbone to support the taxes involved and the increase of price. You don't need to enforcing instution to have fair trade. If you meant contract law, than local authorities in the involved parties have full authority to enforce contracts. If you meant price, price is only what one is willing to buy it at and what the other is willing to sell it at.
well local authorities in the EU are not allowed to engage in external contracts, it is an exclusive task of the EU and decisions has to come through the council which consist of nation states with veto-power.

the proces of integration of the eu market was enforced by judges who dealt blows to the nations for keeping up barriers indirectly, it could not have been done without the position of this court standing above the sovereignty of the member states. trust me, countries in europe where all but willing to liberalize their trade, even though they acknowledged the goals of the common market.

I don't see what the point in comparing your wealth to that of others. You'll always find richer people anywhere you go. What should concern one that wants out of poverty is not how well others are doing but how well one self is doing. Nationalizing industries won't fix economic gaps, it'll do just the opposite. Now there will be a class of poor people and a class of rich people with political power (the state).

It is yet debatable if regionalization will one day lead to globalization.

you'll also find that the rich are tied to the common wealth differently in every state through taxes, and different legislation on monopolies and competition. as you see the oportunities to rise out of poverty differ in every country and if it is impossible to rise out of it different views on neoliberalism emerge.

Neo-liberalism wants to break down state involvement in trade in order to have economic growth, and so it'll fail because of state involvement in trade? That's begging the question.

neo-liberalism does, but the global market is not free of state involvement. where did i say neo-liberalism would fail? it is being rejected, but that doesnt mean the concept doesnt work.

You're speaking as if neo-liberalism discourages people out of poverty, that it is being rejected by other countries, I call that a failure. If it works, it will reduce poverty and countries will accept it.

than you misunderstand me, i only speak of the political proces that is taking place and why people have lost faith in certain regions and what motivations lie behind it. i am not discussing wether neoliberalism works or not.

I believe in future China will have to fight a war to protect our Chinese
fellowmen there, I hope our western hypocritical friends won't intervene in
this conflict.
Now comes the 10th anniversary of anti-Chinese riot in Indonesia.
that is what they did in 1998.

Woah,

I'd like to explain some rationale of the 1998 riots, though the act itself may not be at all rational at a glance, but of course everything happens for a reason. Hope my first-hand experience as a citizen of the subject country helps.

First, let's see the socio-economical standing of indonesian chinese. Chinese people in Indonesia has been stereotyped as cunning, deceitful people who gain wealth by scamming. Now we all know stereotypes are not the way to go, but I believe this labeling of ethnic Chinese goes way back to 300 years ago, when we were still colonized by the Netherlands. Now that's got to say something.

I, for one, has been scammed about 4 times by persons of Chinese ethnicity in my country. My mother was the victim of a hit and run by a Chinese driver. Sure, I've met some good Chinese on the way, but the ratio is like 4:1, in favor of the bad Chinese I met.

But stereotyping is not the way to go, remember? I personally think China in general is cool (they recently beat us at the Uber cup final though ), and when I play Battlefield 2 or CnC Generals my favorite side is always China.

But that's me, a 17-year old boy who's been taught the good values of un-stereotyping from when I was little. Who knows what bad experience other Indonesians have had with ethnic Chinese? It's not wrong to say they'd had bumps several times more bitter than my experience.

So, what happens if sentiment gets boiled for 300 years, then you pop open the lid? Everything explodes. Just like in 1998, when Jakarta was in general unrest. Basically this can happen in anywhere but China (duh). Indonesia just pulled the short straw.

Yeah, I'm just writing this to say, we're not a bunch of Cannibal Holocaust people who gathers in fireplaces in the afternoon to cook human meat and rapes 5 women a day for no reason.

As for your inquiry of whether we're human or not, well I for one can use a computer, my family looks quite human (they installed internet in their home), I even know people from the countryside who goes to school.

But I'd admit that that guy in the picture looks quite like my uncle...
