Those pics are about the heavy flood in 1998, our gov sent troops to help to defend the flood and help people!

our army and our people are just like the water and fish. Some of my friends are also serving in the army now, some of them will be retired by the end of this year. We are expecting their coming back! Just as a famous Chinese author ever wrote, "our people's soldiers are the most lovable"!

hi, i must state sth special for some people who have prejudice against our people's army, in the last pic of our thread, you can see many army trucks surrounded by people, please do not think that was protest or crackdown, that pic shows that after the flood, when our army retreated from Jiujiang City ( destroyed badly by the flood), our people went to the road to see off our most lovable sons.

I very much like your first pic: The two Chinese guys look like struggling in the water, but the baby on top seems to be fine.

Thanks, in 1998, more than 300,000 people's soldiers were sent to defend the flood, many soldiers sacrificed! The scenes in those pics happened everyday and every city suffering from the flood.
