in Sui Dynasty,Turkic take two sides:Eastern Turkic and Western Turkic.in 630,Tang Dynasty, the Tang emperor Li Siming destroied the Eastern Turkic.658,the emperor destroied the Western Turkic.in the Empress Wu (Tang Dynasty) period,Turkic established Eastern Turkic kingdom again.

Analytical Survey of Practices and Effectiveness of PRC's
Anti-Terrorist Diplomacy

Despite terrorism poses an increasingly serious threat in international
security, PRC has not been active in appreciating this threat and
anti-terrorism has not been a major issue in its foreign policy for a
long time. There ate two reasons: (a) PRC is capable of relatively tight
internal control that contains terrorist activities such as those of
Eastern Turkishtan; (b) PRC's foreign policy is still dominated by
conventional military security and balance of power rather than
unconventional terrorism. In the end of 1990s though, PRC took the
initiative to engage in an anti-terrorist diplomatic campaign around its
border. After the "911 incident" in 2001, PRC even extended this
campaign to a global scale, helping to construct bilateral and
multi-lateral anti-terrorist frameworks with the US in the center. This
development illustrates that anti-terrorism has become an important
factor in PRC's foreign policy. This paper discusses regional and global
aspects of PRC's anti-terrorist diplomatic campaign. It argues that
PRC's intention of this diplomacy is not only for the anti-terrorism
cause itself but also for garnering more political and security benefit.
It also argues that because of the fragility of international cooperation
regime, the US's unilateralism, and PRC's failure to modify its
perception based on conventional security consideration, it is not easy
to moderate the structural conflict between the US and PRC. PRC will have
no choice but cooperating with the US, even though PRC is attempting to
collaborate with Europe and neighboring countries to counter its tilt
towards the US.

What peace did he make?? Well, he looks funny and talks funny. Also, he seems to be a handsome old man. He can say many ideal stuff because he has no power. When he had the power, he must be loving those monastery drums made from the skins peeled from female serfs.

There's no doubt that Tibet belongs to China. everyone can find evidence in chinese history. at least since mogolian invaded Song Dynasty and started Yuan Dynasty, Tibet has been part of china. Dalai Lama tends to confuse people with religion and politics.

If that is your objection to him getting the NPP, then that is the most retarded thing I have ever heard.

WEB, he's not saying he shouldn't get the NPP because of that, he's saying that's the only reason he got it.
I have to agree, I don't see how the Dalai Lama has brought a great deal of peace. It's not like he stopped a war or something.

Either statement is equally silly, isn't it? Though I do think he was saying the former.

The Dalai Lama has gone through great hardship to escape China and has worked to ensure peace between the Tibetans and China. He has peaceably worked to preserve his people's heritage and to preserve their ethnic identity.

Presumably, that's someone who deserves a peace prize.
