CNN has issued a public apology about the "goons and thugs" case. Check it out. Also I condone the western media so-called bias regarding Tibet because if the free world doesn't help Tibetans, nobody else would. You know it's like saying: If I don't speak for Tibetans & other minorities, who would speak for me when they come to get me?

Yes, but last time I checked, CNN`s apology was not good enough for the Chinese. I condone speaking out for Tibet because as a person who has enjoyed liberty and freedom my whole life, I think that all humans should live free. But maybe that`s just my "Western Bias"

Its also ok if he says it in public, because he has the freedom of speech in this country. Wether you like it or not he has the right to say what he likes about Chinas government. If people disagree with what he said and/or how he said it they can speak out too. Freedom of speech extends to all here.

I am not sure that there are many Tibetans that side with Beijing to begin with, and Tibetans who want freedom are not "bad" and secondly that show on which Cafferty made those remarks was a debate about the issue, meaning that they were always arguing from all sides of the issue, and the "Western media" also reports the responses from the Chinese government. The US media is free and independent, a lot more reliable I think than China`s State-controlled media.

I don`t think that you understand the idea of freedom of speech. What he said was hid opinion alone, because it was on a political debate program. Even so CNN did apologize for the incident. It really shouldn`t be a big deal, except China can`t take criticism.
