First, do you realize the sweeping generalizations you have just made? Most people in the United States do not like war. There is a small militarist element in the government that is the driving force behind most conflicts.
Second, obviously there is violence in Tibet. When a people feel oppressed they will chose to rebel against the occupying government. People will die in this process, but it is the right of self determination. The United States itself was born in rebellion. The People's Republic of China was born of a rebellion. You are condemning a rebellion by the people of the Lhasa of Tibet because you want the territory to remain under Chinese control, not because of the violence they have committed in their struggle for autonomy. There is no bad guy in the conflict, only different sides. In America we are sympathetic to the underdog fighting for freedom for obvious reasons.
If you are truly condemning the Tibetans for any injury or death they have caused, would it not be logical to also condemn the butcher who helped create your nation? Mao Zedong is responsible for genocide, millions of executions, etc.

Ok, I will make my writing more simple, as I know all about learning new languages.
9/11 was an attack by foreigners on the United States, and thus is a completely different scenario. So we will not discuss that in this thread. I was saying that most Americans are relatively peaceful, but our government is not.
Next, it does not matter if Tibet was part of China in the past. The native people of Tibet feel oppressed. Their riots are a result of this. They want to become a free and independent nation. The extensive use of force by the Chinese government makes this feeling of oppression worse. China could either let them break away and become their own country, or at least let them have some level of self government without the intrusion of the national chines government like Hong Kong has. If the situation does not change, there will always be a very unhappy minority who will rebel, as they do not want to be part of the nation. They have every right to rebel, as every people has a right to self government.
Mao Zedong committed genocides against Chinese. Genocide against Chinese was not, nor is it ever necessary in the formation of a new government.
