Dalai Lama's criminal past photos Leaked. China better back off or else!

I'm fed up with people coming up to me and telling me that the Dalai Lama wouldn't have just honked at that car that just cut me off. He wouldn't have cursed at the cashier who charged me full price for toilet paper on sale. Turns out that Tibetan Buddhism's holy man is a pretty dangerous man.

The real mastermind of Tibet

The real mastermind of Tibet

To tell the truth, the Government of Tibet in Exile has been secretly supported by Japan. The flag of Tibet was used intermittently between 1912 and 1950. It was introduced by the 13th Dalai Lama in 1912. But it is openly told that it was designed by a Japanese spy who penetrated Tibet in 1911. It is outlawed in the People's Republic of China.

Religion has been outlawed in the People's Republic of China.

Tibetans are largely Buddhist. Japan is largely Buddhist.

China is hunting down any religion it gets its hands on, including Buddhism which has been for over thousand years apart of China.

Now do you understand the ties between Tibet and Japan?

That's sheer prejudice, Darkseid. I have several relative actually observing a mix of Buddhism and some local cult. They are OK with the authorities. No one finds trouble with them. In China religion such as Buddhism and Islam are aloowed as long as they don't pose a threat to the ruler. We Chinese have a tradition of religious tolerance. In the long history of China there were emperors encouraging the co-prosperity of religions in the belief that they would promote the wellfare of the people.
Since we imported Maxism in 1920's, along with the Christian Crusade-like fundamentalistic element from the West, the ruling class seemed to lose their tolerance toward dissidents.

I agree with you that China has historically been more tolerant of religious differences than the West. (Although not unfailingly tolerant - one could name emperors who repressed religions, and plenty of examples of religious violence.)

I don't think that either Marxism or Christian fundamentalism have much to do with tolerance of dissidents. It's just a power thing - the ruling authority being fearful of power structures (such as a heirarchical church) that threaten its authority. And authoritarian rule in China goes back over 2,000 years of course.
