Sarkozy warns of french military intervention

The central african republic of Chad has seen fierce fighting between rebels which apparently recieve support from neighbouring Sudan and governement troops these days. Now former colonial power France , that keeps military bases in the oil-rich country, has openly threatened a military intervention to support the "letigimate" governement, like Sarkozys predecessor Chirac did in 2006.
Important to note is that the fighting broke out just days before "EUFOR" , a european force supposed to halt the genocide in Darfur was to be deployed to Chad........

Ah yes, the "legitimate" dictator.
But of course the rebels would be no more legitimate really I suppose. And the AU has a policy of refusing to recognise any government created by a violent coup.
