The reason why great attention isn't given to once-powers is because they aren't really where we come from. Even if they were'nt as infuential, the roots of the West are mainly in Rome and Greece. I live in the U.S. and, while I trace my ancestry all across northern Europe, I recognize that while a great deal of my cultural heritage comes from northern Europe our system of government isn't based on the Celts, the Gauls, the Germanic tribes, but on Greco-Roman government.

And the idea about the British being Jews... No, I don't think so. If the British are Jews then you have to somehow proove that the Irish, the Picts, the Britons, the Angle, the Saxons, the Vikings, the Normans, et cetera were all of Jewish descent.

And considering the history of the rest of the Jews around the world, up until recently maintaining almost complete "racial purity" and maintaining their religion better than anyone else (most Jews today can trace Jewish religion and blood among their ancestors back to David). This theory, while entertaining, doesn't seem to hold much when I look at it, granted I haven't looked too much at it, I'm speaking on what I know and what I've read.
