This may be a good opportunity for the US to suggest to the Pakistani government to conduct a joint effort against the Taliban and Al Qaeda. Most intel points to the Waziristan province on the border with Afghanistan. The Pakistanis can attack from the east and the US can attack from the west (Afghanistan) to crush these terrorist insurgents that were responsible for the assassination attempt.

If we could conduct operations of this type we could crush the terrorist leadership and find, kill or capture Osama.
