Well it is not censorship to take off vulgar programs on national TV stations. Look how easily people just threw out the word "censorship" in this topic. It is pathetic. The 1st Amendment only applies to government abridging freedom of speech. A private company can shut you up ASAP if they want to. Now of course the way we read things today, that is no longer the case. But that is only due to the inability of the US to educate itself

Of course it is censorship. I don't want to watch silly goody-two-shoes programs like
7th heaven and
touched by an angel, they're pathetic, and most kids think they are too. Censorship is wrong, we should self-censor. If you find something too rough for your taste, change the channel, I do when the explicit movies are on late at night.

I dont watch much TV anymore b/c of the vulgar content. Sex and language are thrown into movies simply to fill in time and to saturate the pedophile needs our people today. My kids dont watch anything with cuss words or sex in it. I wont allow it. Which means they dont get to watch much TV, which is a good thing anyways. I dont let them play hours of video games either. I kick them outside to play unlike most parents who will let them do anything to just "keep them out of our hair for awhile".

And you believe they don't watch them at their friends' homes. TV is not the worst thing they can do. It is, in fact very good for children with ADD and ADHD as are video games. There is nothing like TV and video games to get a child to learn how to concentrate. I know because I had three of them with concentration problems. If you watch tv with your kids and not leave it as a babysitter, it is a wonderful way to teach them good values. You can point out that you don't approve of the language but that you understand that it is in society and people use it but they you don't want them to use it.

Every time I turn on the TV during the week, which use to be family hour around 7PM, you could get a funny show, that wasn't political propaganda for gays or some other political movement. Now that is all it is. And it ain't worth a minute of viewership. Probably why I have cut my cable completely. It isn't worth the money you spend on it anymore.

Do you indoctrinate your children with anti-gay propaganda. Do you also tell them that left-handed people are wrong too. Like Bill Clinton. 40 years ago when I was being taught by nuns, they used to tie left-handed children's hands behind their backs to make them use their right. The only thing they succeeded in doing was to make them stutter, because left or right handedness is connected with the speech centre interfere with the one, you mess up the other. Being gay is not a politic issue, it is a matter of otherwise wiring, nothing the person can do to change it so railing against it is not going to make it go away anymore than the nuns could make the left-handed kids learn to write 'right'. If you don't believe me look it up on a psychology website. Homosexuality used to be classified on the DSM classification for mental disorders - it was removed years ago when the fourth list was drawn up - so google DSM IV and see what it says about homosexuality, it's not something that can be cured anymore than left-handedness can.
I should try to stay objective but when I see nonsense like 'propaganda for gays' i see red.
