That is a wise policy. Honestly, I don't even see why India bought those carriers and Mig-29's from Russia. I consider that a big waste of money. Who's India going to fight with those carriers? I also think the Su-30MKI project was wasteful and India has too many different kinds of fighter planes, but as someone who posts on a military aviation board, I'm sure you've heard those complaints about a billion times by now.
yeah why bought carriers? we are making 2 carriers in home too.
why bought su30MKI?
what do you want india to be another Japan? or another pakistan?

India faces threats from China/Pakistan and its 70% oil are from indian ocean
which is worlds one of most trade routes.
we will do anything to keep the flowline secured for all nations.

I've never heard this complain a single time from "a guy who knows millitary stuff", you can post it in aviation forum and see the replies yourself .

We maintain a steady foreign policy which is indepent of any others, as someone said in next 20-30 years we are going to be the France of Asia.

Personally, I have no problem with India having nukes. India is a huge country, so I feel like they have a right to having nukes. The France and UK are democracies with about 50 million people, India is a democracy with more than 1 billion, so I think they've got a right to it.

However, I think that no more countries should be allowed to have nukes (Iran, North Korea, Israel, etc). If we keep allowing countries to have nukes then everyone will have them.
Ofcourse we have the right because we are threatened by china who has right to have nuke as she is in P5, also me and our govt is for global disarmanent, with china keeping nukes india not is not fair game you know?

Atleast we dont go to northkorea for technology, we have enough enough talent to challenge anything provided there is money.
economy is the key for India.

and completely agreed on the fact no other countries should be allowed to have nukes, because they have it on religious grounds "most of them" which is fanaticism.

India has good relations with the US currently and is poised to be a counter weight to China, which is also good for stability. India is a large purchaser of Lockheed fighter jets as well as Boeing commerical jets...bottom line:
LOL most guys here have no idea how real world works.
Till date we dont have a single lockheeed Martin jets.

We are not a US puppet ya know, we never was? We are not counterbalancing China for US needs but doing sollely for a counterbalance in Asia without which the power will shift inrealistically to a communist regime side which isnt good.

Its US who are interested in good relations with us and we are obviously ofcourse interested in making good friends all over [that is why we dont have enemies beyond neighbours], I can give you a million examples when previously we were denied technology etc etc from US and we developed the same within some years...........

there is hell and heaven diff between communism and democracy.
