No.... various religions are pitting science against religion. Not the theory of evolution. The theory of evolution was come to by the scientific method. There is evidence to support it. If the evidence changes, the theory will change as well. Some religions, on the other hand, do not work the same way (while others do).

No, "science" did not declare religion a virus. And I don't understand what you're trying to say with the second sentence. If you believe the current theory of evolution it most likely means you have educated yourself. Nothing wrong with that.

I have never read the God Delusion but it is written by Richard Dawkins who, while a scientist, wrote it also as an atheist and, from what I understand, included his own personal opinions in the book (as would be expected). This does not make it a scientific textbook. The science behind his book is backed up. His opinions, however, are not. They're his opinions. And, of course Dawkins, an atheist, wants to separate science and religion. He believes religion is a crock (as do I) but again... that's his opinion and his book is not a scientific textbook.
