May I first say that I love all animals. I have four English Springer Spaniels, one male and three females. The girls are all from the same litter. My wife and I love them dearly.
In addition, I have a rather large natural pond on my property which supports a variety of small mammals, nesting birds, turtles, snakes, frogs and fish.
I would never think of harming an animal unless I or my wife were being directly threatened. That said, animals are just that. They are not humans although humans are the most developed animals. Notice that I didn't say advanced. If we're so advanced why do we engage in something that the lower animals never engage in - WAR.
Shame on us humans.
